History of the Northwoods Youth Symphony

Brainchild of Kris Cunningham and Kathy Klein, the symphony was organized in Three Lakes Wisconsin and features the talents of many players from a number of communities in both Wisconsin and Michigan.

While many local school districts provide Band or Orchestra classes, the Symphony combines wind, brass, string and percussion instruments to present a more complete musical voice. The disciplines of meeting, practicing and rehearsing are rewarded with performances, to the delight of both the performers and audience members.

Plans for the Northwoods Youth Symphony began in October 2002.
